Executive Director, Child Protection, CIFF
Hisham is an Executive Director with the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF.) CIFF is the world’s largest philanthropy that is dedicated to children. Hisham leads the global child protection portfolio (which focuses on the battle against child labour and commercial sexual abuse of children) and is also in charge of all of CIFF’s work in India.
Hisham started his career in the corporate world – where he work with Unilever, Accenture and Infosys – in sales, marketing and consulting. He switched to the development sector in 2009, starting off with the Government of India’s National AIDS Control Programme where he headed up the national condoms programme. He then set up the Wikimedia Foundation’s operations in India to drive free knowledge through projects like Wikipedia in South Asia.
Hisham is an economics graduate and has a management degree.
