A Chemical Engineer by profession, he did his B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from LIT, Nagpur, a post graduate degree in chemical Engineering from IISc, Bangalore, INDIA. Has been working as a Senior Process Engineer in the field or oil exploration, oil refining and petrochemicals for the last 37 years. He had the opportunity to work in different countries such as U.S.A, Canada, Italy, U.A.E and Malaysia. He has wife, Nanda, and two daughters, Prachi, Shaily.
He has been instrumental in setting up Dr.Ambedkar International Mission Inc. worldwide and has been making it functional at international level for last 24 years. He has organized 3 international Dr.Ambedkar conventions namely Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA (1998) , Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA (2011), Paris, FRANCE (2014). He was instrumental in setting up an annual Dr. Ambedkar Memorial Lecture at Columbia University, the alma mater of Dr.Ambedkar, from 2009 in collaboration with South Asia Institute/Bernard College, Columbia University. He organized an International Conference at Bernard College, Columbia University, New York, to commemorate 100 years of arrival of Dr.Ambedkar to Columbia University in 1913, a landmark turning point, in the liberation of untouchables in India. (July 2013). He oragnized International Conference at Barnard College, Columbia University, to commemorate 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr.Ambedkar – a milestone event (23,24th April 2016). He chaired a panel on, “Caste Discrimination among Indian Diaspora in U.S.A/Canada.” Presented a paper in this panel on, “Caste Discrimination History in U.K and setting up Equality Law in U.K.” at Brandeis University, Warthem, MA, U.S.A (30th April 2016). He Chaired a panel on “Caste Discrimination among Indian Diaspora in U.S.A/CANADA.” And presented paper on “Caste Discrimination in Indian Diaspora in U.S.A – case studies” at Brandeis University, Warthem, MA, U.S.A.”(April 2017)
