Shakeeb Alam is the Co-Founder and President of East Bridge Capital Management, a Boston-based private investment partnership which invests in public equity markets. Currently, East Bridge manages over $1 billion of long-term capital for a select group of investors including philanthropic foundations, university endowments, museums, family offices and other private investors. Prior to the formation of East Bridge in 2011, Shakeeb worked as an investor across both public and private markets at leading firms including at Highfields Capital Management and GTCR. Shakeeb began his career as an investment banker in the Mergers & Acquisitions group at Bear Stearns, and has over 20 years of experience in finance and investing.
In addition to his business activities, Shakeeb is involved with several non-profit organizations. Currently, Shakeeb serves on the Leadership Council at the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research and as a Trustee of the Hartford Seminary where he serves on its Investment Committee.
Shakeeb earned his B.S. in Finance, with honors, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his MBA from the Harvard Business School.
