As the visionary behind the lebua brand and the company’s first employee 15 years ago, Deepak Ohri has a unique outlook on hospitality focused on creating a lasting emotional connection for guests, which has now become an industry-wide trend. He is often credited with bringing luxury hospitality to Bangkok and kicking off the rooftop dining craze with his collection of upscale bars and restaurants at the Dome, lebua’s mainstay.
Soaring 820 feet above Bangkok, the Dome is home to Skybar, of “Hangover 2” fame and Mezzaluna, one of only two Michelin-starred restaurants in Thailand. The Dome also features five other innovative culinary outposts: Sirocco, Distil, Alfresco-64, Flute and Breeze.
On November 30, Mr. Ohri debuted lebua No. 3, the world’s tallest gin, caviar & vodka bar, featuring Pernod Ricard reserve labels and premium liquors, soaring 52 floors above Bangkok. In early 2019, Mr Ohri continues to expand his culinary empire with the opening of a champagne bar with bespoke champagnes, along with a new restaurant Chef’s Table.
Today, lebua operates a distinctive family of hotels, restaurants and bars in Thailand, India and New Zealand.
