Subrat Sahoo, an Indian Administrative Service officer with over 25 years of experience in the field of Administration in India and currently the Chief Electoral Officer of the state of Chhattisgarh, will be sharing his experiences in the field of electoral democracy and polling processes in India.
Hear his experiences in handling one of the toughest law and order situations in left wing extremist prone areas of the state of Chhattisgarh, and in conducting the most peaceful and controversy-free General Elections ever held in the state of Chhattisgarh. Interact with him and understand the finer nuances and nitty-gritties of administration in extremely remote and backward areas and get a feel of how men and material management takes place in areas where outsiders are apprehensive of treading. His has rendered his services in the Departments of Health and Medical Education, Department of School Education & Literacy, Social Welfare Department, Women & Child Development Department, Tourism and Culture, Sports, Tribal Welfare, Food & Civil Supplies, and currently as the Chief Electoral Officer for the state of Chhattisgarh.
He has also served in important posts such as District Collector & District Magistrate in three Districts and has also been the Commissioner of one Division in Chhattisgarh State.
A quiz master by passion, Subrat Sahoo has also authored a collection of sci-fi stories called Future Past, and has written for Documentaries & Bollywood Films as well. He conducts seminars and workshops on Science and Curiosity, and on Lateral Thinking. He is also a Golden Book of World Records Holder in several areas.
