Dr. Punita Kumar-Sinha has focused on investment management and financial markets during her 25-year career. She spearheaded some of the first foreign investments into the Indian equity markets in the early 1990s. Currently, she is the Founder and Managing Partner, Pacific Paradigm Advisors, an independent investment advisory and management firm focused on Asia. Prior to founding Pacific Paradigm Advisors, she was a Senior Managing Director of Blackstone and the Chief Investment Officer of Blackstone Asia Advisors. Dr. Kumar-Sinha was also the Senior Portfolio Manager and CIO for The India Fund (NYSE:IFN), the largest India Fund in the US, for almost 15 years, The Asia Tigers Fund (NYSE:GRR), and The Asia Opportunities Fund. Dr. Kumar-Sinha serves as an Independent Director of Infosys, JSW Steel, Tata Rallis, SREI Infrastructure Finance, and Embassy Office Parks REIT (a Blackstone portfolio company). Previously, she served on the boards of Fino Paytech and Jagran (Blackstone portfolio companies) as well as the Fairfax India Fund (listed on Toronto stock exchange). Dr. Kumar-Sinha is recognized as a global expert on macro investing trends, emerging markets, and Indian markets. She has been featured in media such as CNBC US, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Financial Times, CNBC India, ET Now, Mint, Economic Times, and Bloomberg. She hosts TV shows on ET Now, a leading Indian business channel, for a special series on the global economy: "Global Insights with Punita Kumar-Sinha". Dr. Kumar-Sinha received the Best Woman Corporate Director Award for 2016 from Asian Center for Corporate Governance & Sustainability and IIT Delhi's Distinguished Alumni Award in 2012.
