Young poet, writer and freelance journalist
Jacinta Kerketta is an award winning young poet, writer and freelance journalist, belonging to Oraon Adivasi community of West Singhbhum district, Jharkhand (India). She writes in Hindi. In her poems, Jacinta highlights the injustices committed on the Adivasi communities, along with their struggles for survival. She also writes on Adivasi ethics and general human values. She is author of two full length Poetry collections. “Angor“ and “Land of the roots“ which is translated into English, German, Italian and French. A Spanish translation is upcoming and to many Indian languages as well.
