Professor of Indian Politics
Irfan Nooruddin is the Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani Professor of Indian Politics in the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and Director of the South Asia Center at the Atlantic Council in Washington, DC. He is the author of Elections in Hard Times: Building Stronger Democracies in the 21st Century (Cambridge University Press, 2016) and of Coalition Politics and Economic Development (Cambridge University Press, 2011). He is a member of Lokniti: Programme in Comparative Democracy program in New Delhi, and serves on the Editorial Managing Team of Studies in Indian Politics. He has a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Michigan.
